Removal of abdominal excess (abdominoplasty)
Abdominoplasty is an operation that seeks to improve the appearance of the abdominal wall. Repeated pregnancies and obesity are very common causes of loose skin and spacing of the abdominal muscles, and stretch marks can also appear as the skin expands. These adverse changes are permanent and do not disappear even after weight loss or intensive exercise. Abdominoplasty is not a treatment for obesity and is indicated only after weight stabilization. It is also not recommended for women who are still planning a pregnancy.
Liposuction (liposuction)
During liposuction, excess fat deposits are removed from various parts of the body to improve body proportion. It is by no means a method leading to significant weight reduction and elimination of obesity, and it is not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle, exercise and proper diet. It is also not a method to treat cellulite or loose, sagging skin. The outer and inner surfaces of the thighs, hips and abdomen, and chin are most commonly treated. For a good result of liposuction, sufficient skin elasticity is necessary to prevent skin excesses after fat removal.
Reduction of excess skin on the arms or thighs
The surgery is suitable for removing unsightly skin excesses that most often occur with increasing age and after significant weight loss. The skin most often loses its natural elasticity on the inner surfaces of the upper arms and thighs. The removal of skin mounds is performed surgically, always resulting in scars.
